Brief Introduction:
The public Health committee has a pivotal role in spreading awareness among all types of people globally, emphasizing the role of dental students all over the world in disease prevention & capacity building, updating them with the latest trends in dentistry through the public health toolkits, in addition to improving their skills to be great advocates for their universities & countries, collaborating with the most established international dental & non dental organizations for public health events.
Key Responsibilities:
Our responsibilities are focused on publishing public health toolkits, developing policy documents & organizing public health events especially on international days like WOHD, MCAM, AMRW & green dentistry to enrich the dental students with the skills & information they aspire to have..
Recent Projects:
Publishing a podcast with the mouth cancer foundation elect-president on the official IADS spotify account, starting an initiative about the mental health in dentistry, organizing an online awareness campaign for the universal health coverage in addition to taking part in the international Antimicrobial resistance youth summit
Students opportunities:
Students can take part in our public health events, youth summits & online campaigns.. All of these opportunities enhance your skills to be a qualified advocate for dental students all over the world & be aware of the recent public needs.
Achievements:
Public health committee always takes part in FDI contests especially for the World oral health day & have great collaborations with the green dentistry organizing associations in the last few years..
