PROPHYLAXIS COMMITTEE

As future oral healthcare providers, we are highly concerned to participate in global prevention. This is one of the underlying reasons why the Prophylaxis Committee was established.
According to IADS Constitution, Prophylaxis Committee is a standing committee which is chaired by an elected chairperson (officer) during the annual session of General Assembly. Workforce of the committee is periodically recruited and appointed with help of Executive Committee.

Prophylaxis Committee At-A-Glance!

Dental caries is a disease that affects the majority of the population, despite an extensive network of dentists, dental hygienists and preventive measures. Although for most of the people brushing their teeth may be commonplace issue which everybody can handle, in fact there are many problems caused by wrong brushing technique.
There exist many myths about brushing teeth.
We have been learning  these mistakes since childhood so it would appear to be very important and necessary to show and explain people how to use right dental tools in nonviolent way and motivate them to take care about their oral health.
As future oral healthcare providers, we are highly concerned to participate in global prevention. This is one of the underlying reasons why the Prophylaxis Committee was established.
